Member Highlight: Jordan Cutbirth

Jordan Cutbirth started Springfield Giants, a little league baseball and softball league as a way to educate and teach youth how to play baseball while helping them develop leadership skills along with dealing with personal growth, struggle of losing and the challenge winning well.

He and his stellar team of assistant coaches have dedicated their time to be there, on the field and off, to help these kids during all the difficult moments of practice and games. They believe in teaching kids the worth of facing your fears instead running from them, helping them focus on personal improvement rather than the fear of failure. In his words. “There is a million ways to fail but that means there are a million opportunities to grow and get better from those failures.”

Jordan believes in creating a good circle. This means finding friends and leaders around you that have the same goals and attitudes in mind and want to see the team grow and do well in accomplishment and in spirit. Competition can create healthy growth if you look at from the right perspective. It take consistency and hard work, but it is worth it.
